WASD Seeking Parental Input on 2020-21 School Year

The Wellsboro Area School District is seeking information from all parents in the district regarding the option that you are selecting for your child during the 2020-2021 school year.

We are offering 3 different options for students to enter school on August 31, 2020. If you are unfamiliar with the definition of each option, please visit our school district website to review our continuity of education plan.

Option 1:  In-school attendance
Option 2:  Remote attendance
Option 3:  Wellsboro Online Academy

In order to complete course and class accuracy we need to know your choice by Friday, August, 7, 2020. We will assume that your child will select and return to school in Option 1 unless you contact the school building in which your child attends to let them know that you are selecting Option 2 or Option 3. Contact information for each building is as follows:

Charlotte Lappla and Don Gill Elementary Schools (grades K-4): Please call: (570) 724-1811

Rock L. Butler Middle School (grades 5-8): Please call: (570) 724-2306

Wellsboro High School (grades 9-12): Please call: (570) 724-3547

Please note that you do not need to call if you are selecting Option 1 – In-school attendance.

You may call at any time and leave a message on our answering machine if someone is not available.

If you are opting to homeschool your child this year, please remember to call to unenroll your child and acquire the information needed to register for homeschooling.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in assuring a safe and healthy return for your child regardless of the option you are choosing.

Dr. Brenda M. Freeman, Superintendent
