My name is Ben Miller and I have had the privilege of serving as principal of Rock L. Butler Middle School since 2024. Before stepping into this role, I spent five years as the assistant principal at the middle school and, prior to that, taught high school social studies at Wellsboro Area High School from 2010–2019.

I grew up in York, PA, where I graduated from York Suburban High School. I went on to earn a B.S.Ed. in Secondary Education and Social Studies from Kutztown University in 2009, followed by an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership and a K–12 Principal Certificate from Edinboro University of PA. Most recently, I completed a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree at California University of PA in 2023.

My wife, Hannah, and I live in Wellsboro with our two daughters.

As principal, my priority is to support students, families, and staff in every way possible. I believe strongly that each student deserves a positive and meaningful experience at school every single day.
