Hello! Most of the students know me as Mrs. Y. I am the Speech/Language Pathologist (SLP) at Don Gill Elementary School. I am originally from Scranton, PA and hold a bachelor’s degree in Communications Sciences and Disorders and a master’s degree in Speech/Language Pathology, both from Marywood University, Scranton.
I obtained my Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) and have worked as an SLP in many settings with all age-groups. I have worked at Wyalusing Area School District and Montgomery County Intermediate Unit full-time and some skilled nursing facilities and therapy companies per-diem in the summer. I feel very fortunate to work in Wellsboro and help our students to communicate to the best of their ability for academic and social purposes.
I work on increasing articulation skills (speech sounds), receptive/expressive language skills, social language and fluency (stuttering). I truly enjoy working hard while having fun with our kids! I feel that a strong parent/therapist relationship helps students make quick progress.
My office is located at Don Gill Elementary School. If you have any questions, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I will be checking my e-mail at 9:00 a.m. each day and at 3:00 p.m. each day.
SPEECH/LANGUAGE THERAPY ZOOM SESSIONS ARE BEING OFFERED AT THIS TIME. Please contact me at email@example.com to set up zoom session appointments.
