Hello, my name is Mr. Callahan.
I have taught in various positions throughout my career. Both my mother and father were teachers – you might say it runs in the family!
I attended Wellsboro and played Baseball, Football, Basketball and Track. I then graduated college from Mansfield University with a degree in Elementary Education. Since then, I have taught in both Virginia and Pennsylvania at all grade levels and have been involved in coaching Football, baseball and basketball.
Currently, I am one of the Third Grade teachers at Don Gill Elementary. I have several years’ experience as both a 3rd and 4th grade teacher, so this year will be a good one. I have been helping children my entire life, and have coached various youth athletics during that time. I enjoy playing football, kickball, and wiffleball out at recess with the kids. I am the father of 4 children. Bryon, my oldest, is in his senior year and attends the University of New Orleans majoring in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. He is also a member (and President) of the Sailing team. Caitlyn, my second oldest, is a freshman at Millersville University majoring in Education and Athletic Coaching, while playing Volleyball for the Marauders. Darryn is in 11thgrade and plays on the Baseball, Football and Basketball teams. My youngest daughter Madelyn is a member of the Cross Country team and is in 9thgrade. My goal is to make sure kids have fun in school while also working hard at reaching educational goals. I have always encouraged children to think positively about themselves and their education – this concept is not a new idea – but it is an important one in order to succeed!
I am available to speak most days from 8:40-9:00, or right after school. You can contact me at 724-1811 or by email at email@example.com.
