Shane Mascho

My name is Mr. Shane Mascho and am the Rock L. Butler Middle School Guidance Counselor. I am a 1999 graduate of Wellsboro Area School with an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Bloomsburg University and a Masters of Education in Secondary School Counseling from Shippensburg University.

Prior to working at Wellsboro, I have been employed as a school counselor at James Buchanan High School and Jersey Shore Area School District at both the high school and middle school level.

I currently reside in Wellsboro with my wife, Charissa, a teacher at Charlotte Lappla Elementary School, and our four children.

Role in School

• Provide age appropriate guidance and counseling
• Support academic as well as personal/social growth
• Assist in the exposure to various career options
• Collaborate with administration, faculty community and students to provide a safe, nurturing educational environment
