The Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) conference is a week-long summer program for high school students entering their Junior Year who exhibit leadership potential in their school and community. RYLA is a highly-curated program that provides leadership training. From ice-breakers and team-building activities to motivational speakers and hands-on workshops, RYLA offers the opportunity to connect with peers while learning valuable leadership lessons. The curriculum introduces participants to concepts and ideas that develop and strengthen personal assessment and goal setting, time management, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal relationships. The schedule is full of activities that physically, mentally, and emotionally engage the conferees to strengthen their relationship skills, build their confidence, and give them the tools they need to be leaders.
