Last night, we celebrated a rather large milestone. Due to the generosity of the Laurel Health Foundation we were able to purchase this Anatomage unit for the nursing department in our health occupation career path in Mrs. Parsons. Anatomage leads in transforming real human bodies into interactive, digital 3D cadavers, showcasing accurate anatomy and physiology.
Our students now have even more opportunities to practice on “cadavers” for hands-on learning!

Students in Mrs. Rawson’s 5th grade math class worked in groups today to practice creating different types of graphs! By using their favorite Halloween candies as data, students got to put their math skills into action while working collaboratively with classmates.

Yesterday a team from the engineering CTE program competed in the Keystone Competition at Lycoming college. They won first place in the high school division out of 9 other schools.
The challenge was to Design an innovative change to improve PA state parks. Their idea was to make state parks more inviting, educational, and enjoyable for younger visitors. Their solution included a scavenger hunt for native flora and fauna as the family visited the park and hiked the trails, an interactive "water table" like station that provided a sensory friendly experience for children with autism and other disabilities, and a makerspace with craft materials resembling local natural materials where children could create crafts, letting their imagination run wild.

Students in Miss Lancaster’s class participated in a hands-on division activity using Cheerios to model equal groups. Students were given a total number of Cheerios (the dividend) and a number of equal groups (the divisor). Students determined how many Cheerios belonged in each group to find the quotient and wrote a division equation to match their model.
Students used two strategies to solve the problems: distributing one Cheerio at a time into each group until all Cheerios were shared equally, or using a related multiplication fact from the fact family to determine the quotient.
This activity helped students connect concrete models to division equations while strengthening their understanding of equal groups and the relationship between multiplication and division.
Another successful Ability Mentoring Day is in the books! Thank you to all of the hosts across Tioga County for the job shadowing opportunities. Wellsboro Area High School students explored career interests in childcare, food service/hospitality, maintenance, janitorial, floral design, retail, farming/agriculture, IT, realty, and broadcasting.

Our STING Club is collecting aluminum can tabs to support Ronald McDonald House Charities, an organization that provides families with a place to stay, meals, and support while their children receive medical care away from home. These services help ease the financial and emotional stress families face during difficult times.
💚 Every tab counts! We encourage our students, families, staff, and community members to save their aluminum can tabs and send them in to RLBMS. A small contribution from each of us can add up to make a big difference for families in need.

The High School Connectors Program has set up the “Connectors Care Locker” in the blue wing hallway. It is locker #676 outside of Mr.Shaffer’s classroom. There are various school supplies available for students to take and use as needed. Right now it is stocked with spiral notebooks, binders, pencils, pens, and folders. Students are welcome to access it anytime!

Wellsboro Student Athlete Leadership Group takes on the District IV Athletic Leadership Workshop in Loyalsock! The kids did a great job and took away some great lessons! Coach Bitner was proud to see this group step out of their comfort zone!

The ASVAB Career Development Test will be given at Wellsboro High School on Tuesday, November 3rd. This test is mandatory for all Sophomores. Any junior or senior that wants to take the test, please sign up in the Guidance Office. Testing will take place in the Auditorium at 8:00 am. Any questions, please contact Mr. Rendos at the High School.

👻🏚️ Spooky Stories Are Coming! 🎃✏️
Our second graders have been busy getting creative! This week, students designed and decorated their very own haunted houses! 🏠🕸️
Next week, they will use their haunted houses as inspiration to write creative narratives filled with spooky surprises, interesting characters, and plenty of imagination! 👻🦇
We can't wait to see the stories our young authors come up with! 🧡🖤
