Check out these future programmers! 🎮💻 What a fun day in Mr. Buonaiuto's class — students were hard at work programming, designing, and editing their own video games! Here at WAHS, we're proud to offer such a wide range of experiences for our students, helping them discover something they could turn into a lifelong passion. 🐝💪

🗺️✨ Mapping Out Their Imaginations! ✨🗺️

Our students are getting creative in art class as they design their very own Fantasy Maps! 🌎

Today, students used a scoop of rice to arrange and shape unique landforms on their paper. Once they were happy with their designs, they carefully traced around the rice with a fine-tip Sharpie to permanently create their land formations. 🏔️🏝️🌊

From mountains and valleys to islands and coastlines, every map is as unique as the imagination behind it! 🎨🗺️

We love seeing our students combine creativity, planning, and artistic skills to bring their fantasy worlds to life!

📐 Math in Action! 📊

Our 8th grade mathematicians were putting their skills to work through cooperative learning and hands-on problem solving! Students worked together at whiteboards to graph advanced reflections, sharing strategies, checking one another’s thinking, and making adjustments along the way.

There’s something powerful about learning with others—students can ask questions, explain their reasoning, see different approaches, and learn from the ideas happening around them. 🧠🤝

It was great to see our Hornets thinking, collaborating, communicating, and growing as mathematicians!
