First Energy came to Charlotte Lappla and Don Gill to talk about energy conservation! Each student will be bringing home an Energy Education Kit!






Looks like the 2nd graders had an amazing time at Reptileland - despite the rainy weather!










Lake Tobias Wildlife Park was a little wet, but the 4th graders were troopers and made the best of it.









4th graders are having a blast in Harrisburg! The Capitol Building is an amazing work of art.








I had the honor of being a special guest in Mrs. Bowen's class today. I had the privilege of listening to students read from the book that they authored and illustrated about their Best Days Ever!

The end of the marking period is this week. Please check for any missing library books and send them back to school! Each class has a chance to win a prize or a party if they return all of their books!

Won Honorable mention in a poster contest for UGI. 46 schools participated in the program. Payton was in the top 4 across all schools.
Derek Rhodes from UGI presented her with the prize of a kindle fire!
Her parents are present as well!




Sheriff Levindoski spent time with the fourth grade classes at Don Gill Elementary School this week. Featuring the book, Go Be the Light, he read and then discussed the themes of the story: showing kindness to others, spreading joy, and being a light to the world. Students enjoyed listening to the story and interacting with Sheriff Levindoski in the classrooms throughout the morning.









The book fair this week! Monday night is family night at Don Gill. Wednesday is family night at Charlotte Lappla.

The bike Grayson won was donated by the Wellsboro Sheriff's Office. The bike that Abby won was donated by the PA Grand Canyon Chapter of ABATE. Laurel Health also donated bike helmets!

Reminder: the book fair and book fair dress up days will start this Friday!

Two Committee Meetings will be held tomorrow evening. The building and grounds meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m.. and the personnel committee meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. There will be no policy or curriculum meeting.



Update to Board Committee Meeting Schedule
The Wellsboro Area School District Board of Education amended the committee meeting calendar that was previously posted. The Building and Grounds Committee Meeting and the Policy Committee Meeting will be held on the same evening as the Curriculum Committee Meeting and Personnel Committee Meeting. All meetings will be held on the final Tuesday of the month utilizing the time schedule below:
Building and Grounds Committee: 5:30 p.m.
Policy Committee: 6:00 p.m.
Curriculum Committee: 6:30 p.m.
Personnel Committee: 7:00 p.m.
