Financial Aid Night will be Wednesday, November 12th 6:00 in the HS LGI Room. A representative from Commonwealth – MU Financial Aid Department will do the presenting.

Any students going onto higher education are encouraged to attend, along with their parents. This is a very informational meeting to help students/parents gather information to afford higher education.

We are almost to Homecoming Week! Homecoming Week is October 6th - 11th. We will have lots of activities during school and after school that week. During the week, we will have dress up days every day.

We are starting a Mock Trial Team at the HS this year! If your student is interested, tell them to visit Mr. Shaffer or Ms. Mohr for information!

Dear families,

We are pleased to share we have a few spots left on our Thailand educational tour happening in Summer 2027, and we’d love for your student to join us!

Here are some highlights of our experience:
• Explore Bangkok’s Grand Palace, Reclining Buddha, and cruise the city’s famous klongs
• Experience Thai culture with a floating market visit, cooking class, and organic farm tour
• Hike to Erawan Waterfall, ride the historic “Death Railway,” and tour ancient Sukhothai
• Visit an elephant sanctuary, connect with monks, and shop bustling night markets

When students travel, they expand their knowledge of the world around them, discover more about themselves, and grow more confident. These skills are critical for creating the global citizens of
tomorrow, and I would love to have your students join us on one of these adventures.

Changes to Transportation Letter

Two Committee Meetings will be held tomorrow evening. The building and grounds meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m.. and the personnel committee meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. There will be no policy or curriculum meeting.

Update to Board Committee Meeting Schedule The Wellsboro Area School District Board of Education amended the committee meeting calendar that was previously posted. The Building and Grounds Committee Meeting and the Policy Committee Meeting will be held on the same evening as the Curriculum Committee Meeting and Personnel Committee Meeting. All meetings will be held on the final Tuesday of the month utilizing the time schedule below: Building and Grounds Committee: 5:30 p.m. Policy Committee: 6:00 p.m. Curriculum Committee: 6:30 p.m. Personnel Committee: 7:00 p.m.

Our Wellsboro Hornets app keeps getting better and better! Parents/guardians who have already created a Rooms account can now access new app features like chat and class streams via web and in the app. Another round of invites have been sent out to those who have yet to activate their account. Be sure to also update your app for a cleaner, simpler view!

Frozen Performance Update: Saturday performance at 2 pm will go on as scheduled. Saturday performance at 7pm is cancelled. Sunday performance at 2pm will go on as scheduled. There is parking behind the administration building.

This is a reminder there is no school on Monday, February 17th and Tuesday, February 18th due to scheduled teacher and staff in-service days. School will be in session on Friday, March 21st and Monday, March 24th to make up for the two days missed due to weather conditions.
