The Wellsboro Student Athlete Leadership Group is sponsoring a used/new sports equipment drive to benefit the Jaxon Snyder Foundation. Jaxon Snyder was a remarkable young man from Lewisburg, PA who lost his life too soon. Jaxon loved sports, specifically Football and Wrestling. This season the Wellsboro Wrestling Team will be hosting Lewisburg MS/HS and wanted to make a contribution to honor his memory.

We are asking the help of the community to donate used/new sports equipment of all kinds to their foundation who provides these pieces of equipment to athletes in need. During the match against Lewisburg, we plan on donating all of the equipment to Jaxon's family. Please consider helping our community and Student Athlete Leadership Group make a contribution to a wonderful cause. We will also have the collection bin down at the Turf Field on Friday Night's during Home Football Games by the concession stand. Thank you so much for your consideration and assistance making a difference in young athletes lives! Questions can be forwarded to Coach Bitner at bbitner@wellsborosd.org

We are thrilled to bolster our High School social media presence for the 26-27 school year. There's too many good things going on not to share with our community, taxpayers, and alumni! We're starting with our custodial staff! This is their busy season. They do so much more than clean classrooms. They create welcoming spaces, solve problems before anyone notices them, respond to the unexpected, and take immense pride in caring for our school every single day. While most of us are still enjoying summer, they’ve been hard at work—moving furniture, waxing floors, tackling maintenance projects, and preparing every hallway and classroom so our students can begin the year in a building they’re proud to call their school. Your work is often behind the scenes, but it never goes unnoticed. Thank you for your dedication, your craftsmanship, and your commitment to Wellsboro High School. We are grateful for everything you do, and we’re excited to start another great year because of the foundation you’ve helped build. Please join us in thanking our outstanding custodial team! 💚🧹🏫

Dear families,

We are pleased to share we have a few spots left on our Thailand educational tour happening in Summer 2027, and we’d love for your student to join us!

Here are some highlights of our experience:
• Explore Bangkok’s Grand Palace, Reclining Buddha, and cruise the city’s famous klongs
• Experience Thai culture with a floating market visit, cooking class, and organic farm tour
• Hike to Erawan Waterfall, ride the historic “Death Railway,” and tour ancient Sukhothai
• Visit an elephant sanctuary, connect with monks, and shop bustling night markets

When students travel, they expand their knowledge of the world around them, discover more about themselves, and grow more confident. These skills are critical for creating the global citizens of
tomorrow, and I would love to have your students join us on one of these adventures.

Come hear all the details, including the itinerary, activities, academic credit opportunities, and the cost of the trip at our information night on Wednesday, September 24th at 6pm. The meeting will take place in the Culinary Room.

Please click here to register for the meeting ASAP to save your seat and receive the link: https://bit.ly/3UT56jE

There are limited spots on this trip, so we would love to have you attend this meeting to learn more about this exciting opportunity!

Best,
James Mack
