The District Wide Art Show is tomorrow evening. The halls in the administrative building are full of art. We look forward to welcoming you tomorrow evening.
Sign-ups for next year’s fall sports began today and will be open until May 13 for all students currently in grades 6 through 11. Your student can sign up for any fall sport using a Google Form that was emailed to them today. Additionally, the link can be found here: https://forms.gle/yNYoAFzHMcHqGxkH9
Also, this is a reminder that sports physicals will be taking place at the High School on May 7 and at the Middle School on May 17. A physical is required by PIAA to participate in athletics in grades 7 through 12. Please complete and sign the physical paperwork and have your student turn it into the nurse’s office prior to the date physicals are being held. Copies of the paperwork were distributed to all students in Phys. Ed. and extra copies are located in the main offices of the High School and Middle School. Lastly, please know that the physical your child receives now will be valid for the entire 2024-2025 school year.

Sports Physicals will be held on the following dates and locations:
May 7th: Wellsboro High School all day
May 17th: Rock L Butler Middle School all day
The Public Relations Committee of the board will no longer be meeting on a separate date. We will now incorporate a report during the monthly business meeting to address public concerns. In the event a meeting needs to be scheduled outside of the business meeting, proper notice will be given.
Just a reminder the Wellsboro Area School District will be dismissing early tomorrow, April 8th due to the solar eclipse. Dismissal time will be at noon tomorrow. There will be no outdoor extra-curricular activities tomorrow. Typically, we would not dismiss for this type of event, however, the timing of the eclipse is to occur at our normal dismissal time causing concerns over the viewing of the eclipse. We have been advised by several entities to consider an early dismissal that would allow our students to be at home at the time of the eclipse. I hope that you have a chance to safely view the eclipse between 2 and 4 pm tomorrow.
